Food Journal~10/24



I have been sick. Sore throat, congestion etc. So I haven't kept up on my food log cause I haven't been really eating much. Or doing my morning walk. Hoping tomorrow I will get back to my morning walk. I did walk all over the pumpkin patch on Friday for about 5 hours. And then walked to the local park, and fall festival on Saturday, and back home. I forgot to weigh in this morning. So I will have to try that again tomorrow.

Food log so far today. And I will probably update it-

Breakfast: eggwhites, mushrooms, onion, 2 slices light wheat toast, pumpkin butter. Chia Tea. water.

Snack: Taffy (yeah still have some left from the trip to Silver Dollar City. lol Almost gone!)

Lunch: Tomato Soup, grilled cheese sandwich

Snack: Apple

Dinner: Barbecued Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans.

Late Night Thoughts



It's late at night...I can't sleep. I need to be sleeping though, as I have a early morning and all day at a very large pumpkin patch in the morning. One that is more like a amusement park! I will be walking for HOURS! So I won't be doing my regular morning walk. But, I am sure I will get more then a hour of walking at the Patch!

Any way... I was really kind of wanting to buy some shirts for fall... but then got to thinking.... I AM losing weight... by next year they will be WAY too big for me. So decided to put it off til probably June or July next year, when if I am not at the goal I have set for myself, I will be VERY VERY close. And just going to be happy with the clothing I have. Which in reality I have plenty. Only problem is... I don't have much clothing left from my goal weight before... it's been lost in our moves and such. So I will have to acquire a new wardrobe from scratch. The one I have took me a few years cause I gained sooo much weight. I decided I know how I will build up my new one I will need... a few basics new from my favorite stores. And fill in with as much as I can from Goodwill, til I get enough I am not naked, or sloppy! lol And then gradually add til I have a NICE wardrobe I love. I must say, I have a wardrobe I adore at this point.. but at the same time.. I can't wait to look like I did before! I do not like the weight in my face especially. So very very much looking forward to the change. Although a little scared about having money to get the wardrobe I would like.. but excited too.

Exercise: Walked 1 hour.

Breakfast: Eggwhites with mushrooms, and onions. 2 slices of light bread, sprayed with Parkay butter spray and pumpkin butter. And David Rio Chia tea. (yup still drinking it.. love it! haha). Water.

Snack: 3 small pieces of salt water taffy.

Lunch: Bowl of home made chicken noodle soup with 2 club crackers. Water.

Snack: taffy

Dinner: Barbecued Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, and Green Beans. Water.

Snack: 1/2 cup Edy's Slow Churned Drumstick Sundae Cone ice cream.

I also decided I am going to go ahead and start posting my daily food again too. I haven't done that in a long time. And it will help me, even if people judge me.

Exercise: Walked 1 hour.

I'm back!



Here I am back again!!!! This time I am buckling down and getting back to that person I used to be! I miss her and want her back!

As many of you can read here, I had lost 100 lbs a long time ago. And kept it off for nearly a decade. Miscarriages, and pregnancies, and moving half way across country left me apathetic and I let it go! In the meantime I gained back 65 lbs. When I had lost the 100 lbs,

I had put my type 1 diabetes into a honey moon, or remission if you will. But, last year, it came back with a vengeance and I lost 30 lbs in one month. So I hot footed it to my mom's office where blood test showed my diabetes was back. And of course I must be in DKA (Diabetic Keytone Acidosis). So I was put on insulin and medications and since then I gained 15 lbs...

I went to Silver Dollar City the first weekend of October for a homeschool weekend. We did the educational cave tour. And I thought I would die!!!! I had done this cave tour probably like 2003 or 2004... and did just fine. It wasn't hard at all... This time.. oh my goodness! It was 600 stairs, plus many many ramps down... and then 100 stairs straight up. When I did this before it wasn't even hard! This time, I was huffing and puffing and not a happy girl!!! So I came home and said this is it! I am tired of being miserable and not able to do the things I used to be able to do!

So that Tuesday my first day back home... I got up and started walking a hour a day, and watching my calories and trying to schedule my food again-breakfast, snack, lunch, snack, dinner, snack. Cause that worked very very well for me. And also helped my diabetes so much! So here's hoping to that coming back again!

I also won't lie. When I was at my healthiest, I didn't drink pop or anything but water and tea at all! But, when I am pregnant, I crave soda pop! With Lela I ignored it. After my miscarriage though... every pregnancy I just went ahead and caved and said who cares. So then I got to where I was drinking a LOT of soda pop. Since I came back from Branson, I have stopped buying soda pop. I do still drink it out to eat sometimes. But, no more in my house. Water from this point on. And hoping I get to the point, I don't like soda pop any more. I know that will contribute a lot to how healthy and happy I feel!
