Back!

I haven't posted in here in forever. It seems that I am on a very long plateau this time. I still am the same, and haven't lost or gained since my last post.

However, since I can't seem to break this plateau, I am going to start posting about other things in here instead. Like my exercise and food. I am sure sooner or later the plateau will break. The problem is, the last time I weighed what I do now, I was 13 years old. So I am sure my body thinks I am dying or something. Although I am still morbidly obese. I will keep plugging along though and hopefully some day soon my body will figure out it's ok to let me lose more weight! I am going to TOPS, and am considering starting my own group, as well.

Any way, for today... on the menu.

Breakfast: Apple Sauce, 3 egg whites-mushrooms & onions, 2 slices light toast-dipped in one egg white, with cinnamon and vanilla, and made into french toast, Walden Farms zero calorie pancake syrup. Sugar Free Chia Tea-David Rio.

Snack: Apple Sauce

Lunch: Zuchinni Lasagna, Cheese Biscuit, Tiramisu (all healthy versions).

Snack: Apple Sauce

Dinner: Corned Beef Sandwich, Shirtaki Tofu Noodles, and Chocolate peanut butter bread pudding (all healthy versions).

Snack: Fat free Vanilla yogurt, with 1/4 of a all natural rice crispy treat, from Trader Joe's.

I walked one hour today, and bounced 15 minutes.

Weigh In Something New

Well, I think what I did was right. I didn't want to post it on here, in case it flopped. But, almost 2 weeks ago I increased my calories. Cause the platue really was lasting a long time. And when I thought about things, my over all weight loss slowed down when I got to 199 pounds, and did what my plan said and lowered my calories from 1600 to 1400. That was the first month I only lost 3 pounds, and after that I never lost more then 3 pounds a month again, and slowly but surely stopped losing at all. In December at the end of the year, some friends wanted to do 1200 calories for a week, on Richard Simmons it's called blast off, to get a head start on the new year. I did that for a week, and low and behold that week I didn't lose a thing!!!!!! My body don't like too low of calories obviously. So any way back to what I was saying, 2 weeks ago I increased my calories back up to 1600 (which was a year ago when I went down to 1400) and ever since I have been losing again!!! So I am happy it worked!

I am happy I get to eat things now with 1600 I didn't want to waste my calories on before. lol Amazing how much more food you get with a extra 200 calories! lol I get banana nut bread! lol I love it! lol I wasn't hungry on 1400 calories. But, I wouldn't pick a dessert with more then 1 starch exchange, or more then 1 fruit exchange, the banana bread, is 1 starch, 1/2 a fruit, and 1 fat. But, mmmmmm it's worth it! lol And you get such a big slice. If you want to try it out the recipe is here- Easy Banana Nut Bread .

Also May 5th was my Health Anniversary! And I am very proud of myself for sticking with a program now for 2 years. I rarely could stick to one before for more then 2 weeks, once in a while I made it all the way to 2 months, but never a year, and I wouldn't have ever even contemplated 2 years. I always thought, I can't wait to get skinny then I can eat what I want. How crazy was that. But, I think that's what my grandma always thought too, and would say. When we get the weigh off we are going out to eat, etc etc. That would have put us back in the same boat we just struggled to get out of! So this time it's for life, and it really feels like it now too. I have definitely made it a life style.

So finally for my stats:
Starting Weight: 252
Last Weigh In: 163
This Week: 162.5

Update!

I'm still here, and still on plan. I've just been real busy, and forgotten to post. For the most part, I haven't lost any more weight. I guess I am on a plateau. But, I am keeping to plan, and I know eventually it will break! I am exercising every day, and eating 1400 calories a day. I may raise my calories to 1600 just to see if that will help, if the plateau doesn't break with in another month. Any way I am still here!

Weigh In

I forgot to weigh in last week. But, no matter, I stayed the same last week and this week!

I am not discouraged by my lack of weight loss. But, I am concerned. I will be going to my Diabetic Dr, next month to be reevaluated, and see if she will discontinue my insulin completely. I will bring up to her, I want to have my thyroid checked. From the beginning of this journey I have lost very very slowly. I know slow is good, but my speed is not even what is in the average slowness. So if I do have thyroid problems it would be good to know, and be able to work on that. In one way, I sure don't want to have more problems. But, in another way I kind of hope that is the problem cause at least I would know why my body is this slow.

I will continue to exercise and eat healthy no matter what though. It will just take me much longer then I had figured. But, that's ok, cause I am healthier now then I have ever been. And I am happier now then ever. So no matter how long it takes, it takes. And life will go on, and I will continue to live healthy. And eventually my body will have to give in, and give up the fat! lol :)

Missed my snack, cause we were gone! And dinner was a tad late.

Today, I will be having, probably the same breakfast as yesterday. For lunch will be the same as yesterdays lunch. And dinner will be A new kind of veggie meatloaf, salad, and blueberry pie. (all recipes on my site) Snacks will be fruit and yogurt.

I don't eat a ton of salad, this week I'm into them. Usually though I eat a lot of grilled veggies, I do on my GF grill, in the kitchen.

Go to my site, I have eaten all the recipes on there, and basically unless we eat out, it's what I eat every day.

Weigh In

This week I stayed the same. But, I am ok with that. HEY I am down 85 pounds! I know the scale is now inching it self down. But, I am not worried about that. I know these 85 pounds down is making a tremendous difference in my life. And this is a life style change. Right now if I don't lose another pound, I have increased my health greatly. But, I also know if I just keep on keeping on with this life style, my body will gradually let go of this excess weight. It will have no choice. Plus in April my doctor says I may be coming off insulin all together! Which will help the weight loss as well. My hemoglobin A1C is non diabetic even. It's 5.1-5.4 For over a year now. 7-8 is good diabetic control. Under 6 is non diabetic. So I am way under non diabetic levels!

My stats:
Starting Weight: 252
Last Week: 167
This Week: 167
Goal Weight: 100
