Ok I didn't make my goal, but I did get close, and I'm happy with it!!!!!!

I lost a half a pound this week. I highly suspect more, but my kidney medication is still not here, and it's been almost a week. So I figure I am probably retaining some water due to my kidney disease, and lack of medication.

Here's my stats:

I lost a half a pound this week! I'm pretty happy about that! :) Sure I'm not making my goal for this year. But, I have lost over 40 pounds, and am more then happy with that! I will just keep on chugging along!

December 16, 2004

Well, I lost weight this week! I lost one pound, taking me to a grand total of over 80 pounds loss!!!!!!!! I can't beleive it! I am just very thrilled. And Vince bought me a new jacket for this year. I am hoping I can still wear it next year too. Although I am going to work hard on losing weight between now and next year! lol So 2006-2007, is when I plan on getting my last and final coat (my goal weight coat, this is my a little over half way there, coat! lol). Coats last me several years, if I stay the same size. lol So I kind of was hindered about getting a new one, but with over 80 pounds gone, I needed a new one! So below is my stats, and a new pic.

Starting Weight: 252

December 9, 2004

I lost one pound this week! I am only 1/2 pound away from a 80 pound total loss! I just can't wait! It's clear I will not make my end of the year goal. But, at least I will be close. If I can lose this amount of weight next year, I will be happy!!!! Any way, I'm coming up on a major mile stone, and can't wait!

I didn't lose anything this week! But, I am fine with that. I had big losses two weeks in a row! So what can I expect? Except for a loss NEXT week! lol haha This is a life style change any way. So a loss or not isn't the priority, getting healthy and sticking to it is. And I am doing just that! The weight will come along with it, when it is ready! Although I am so close to my half way point, it is WONDERFUL! lol

So here we are:

I'm only 1.25 inches away from being put in the Yard Sale section of Curves too. Once some one loses 36 inches they are put in the Yard Sale. I had already lost over 30 pounds when I joined Curves so no telling how many inches I have lost since I began in May, 2003. But, since December 2003, I've lost 34.75 inches!

And with this weeks weigh in I have lost a total of 75 pounds!!!!!!! One more pound and I will be half way to goal!

I lost 3 pounds! uh huh, uh huh, uh huh! lol I'm doing the happy dance now! lol hahaha

I broke into the 170's and I am happy!!!!!!!!

I think the lightest I have ever weighed as a adult was around 175, so when I get to 170, I know I will be the lightest I ever have been as a adult. Plus when I reach 176, I will be half way to goal!!!!!!!! Oh happy day! Oh happy day! This next ten pounds will have a lot of meaning! 162, is what I weighed as freshman in high school at 14 years old. So that's another big goal I can't wait to get to. Then the next after that is 125, what I weighed in 7th grade. Then..... I don't know. But, those are my major milestones. And I'm finally with in reaching distance of some of them! I can almost touch them!

October 14, 2004

I'm up a pound this week. I don't know why. I ate and exercised correctly. But, I'm not going to worry about it! So here's my stats. :)

Last week I turtled and stayed the same. It seems my weight loss is going painfully slow. But, at least it's going! This week, I lost a half a pound. So I'll take it!!!!!!

I go to Hoot Camp next week! I can't believe it. Next week I will be in Beverly Hills! Exciting.

And I can't beleive it. But, I'm almost as excited about a new Joanna Lund Recipe I found. Million Dollar Coconut Pie is what she calls it. BUT, I know it as Furr's Cafeteria, Millionaire Pie. It was almost my families very favorite! They would buy it for every big occassion. I made Joannas sugar free, low fat, low calorie version today, and it's PERFECT! It's exactly the same. I just can't beleive it. I LOVE it. This will be a recipe I use often! mmmm

I didn't get a chance to log in last week. I was barely online. And I didn't lose any last week any how. I am so happy to lose another pound this week though! I'm having a lot of fun with this. And doing more and more Joanna Lund recipes. Yesterday I made Fudge for the first time even in my life. It was so rich it was hard to eat the entire serving. And it was only 86 calories. But, boy was it good! I will have to add recipes soon to the site maybe some where. At least ones I've tried. I really liked the Pineapple Coconut Cake of hers, I made for the family picnic last Saturday as well! mmmm.

July 22, 2004

Well, here it is weigh in time again. Last weekend I went down to 188.5. But, now I am back up to 189.5. I really don't know what is going on. But, at least I finally busted that 190 mark! Hopefully next week will be more of a loss. I am going to try really hard this week. I've been exercising, exercising, exercising! lol :) My only day off will be Saturday, cause I don't want to sweat before meeting, and usually by the time I get home, I feel too tired to do a work out, so I won't sweat on Saturday and I will just let that be my day off.

I called my dad today. I have been trying to reach him for 3 weeks, and started getting worried. The first week, I thought ok he's on vacation, second week, I thought ok a long vacation, the third week, I decided I better just call my step mom. So after tried to reach dad at home, and at work and still not at either place (three weeks of not being at work is not like him!), I called my step mothers office. Man is getting hold a doctor getting techy! lol I had to go through about 6 rounds of dial this number for this, and that number for that! lol And go online to this website or that. I feel sorry for old people! lol Any way finally got to her, and she said dad was at a boy scout camp with my little brothers. Why this is in my weight loss journal, was I have been trying to get a hold of them to see if they would pay for me to go to Richard Simmons Hoot Camp. Which is a class on how to teach aerobics and nutrition. And I've already been given a job at Brookhaven Rehabilitation Center, to help the morbidly obese there (500 or more pounds). They are even going to bus me to and from work! On a private bus. I am really excited about the new job. And I thought this class would help me even more. Since Richard Simmons is the one who got me this job. But, I would have to take the class in Beverly Hills, and it's a expensive class, plus airfare and every thing. Well, she said they would pay, but she doesn't know that I need to go to Beverly Hills, I was trying to tell her every thing, but I was on a cell phone at the mall, at the dentist office with my MIL. And we started shorting out. GRR cell phones! So they may not pay once they know EVERY THING! But, I hope they will. I won't hold them to it though, since they don't know I need airfare, a hotel and the class tuition. lol But, it is a college course, and I will be licensed to teach aerobics and nutrition once I take the course and pass the written and in action tests. I will be licensed to teach any where in the USA. So I think that will be a neat class. Next, I want to take a course to teach water aerobics. But, I just hope I get to take this one. My dad had offered to pay for me to take some classes a long time ago. But, there wasn't anything I really really wanted to take except psychology and I was a little afraid to take it at the time, or know what classes to pick. Now, I know exactly what I want to do.

I have always wanted to be a nurse, but after having so many back problems didn't think I would ever be able to. Now it looks like I may be able to be something simular to a nurse. And I also couldn't beleive that my transportation will be taken care of. I mean, I don't drive and don't really want to. I could take a city bus, but it takes forever on these busses. Takes me a hour to get to Curves on the bus, when it takes 30 mintues in the car. So any way, I couldn't believe it, when the director said, and if you need transportation we have our own busses that would take you to and from work. I was like oh yeah! Couldn't be better!

Any way other then this little platue I'm pretty happy!

July 15, 2004

Oh my I can't believe it's been so long since I posted here. I have been going and going. Convention and every thing.

Any how, I have not lost or gained. I don't know what the deal is. Hmm, I have went back to Curves, and I do 30 mintues a day of aerobics in the living room. I want it to move move move.

On other news, last Sunday we had our congregation picnic. I had to get new clothes cause I am tired or being so frumpy looking in size 28's, when I now where a size 18 pants, and 14/16 blouse. So I bought a new pair of khakis, and a red shirt with a middle eastern embroidery pattern on it. And a new bra and sandles. It was way pretty. I didn't get a pic yet. But, it will be what I wear for my next month's picture update. People who were visiting from other congregations said they didn't hardly recognize me I had lost so much weight. They just kept saying it was unbelievable.

I took unsweetened iced peppermint tea, Joanna Lund's, Cliff's Crazy cake-like s'more brownies, grilled bbq chicken, layered party pea salad, and a cherry dump cake for every one. The cherry dump cake was not healthy, but I didn't eat any, I knew every one else would be looking for it though as they always want it. Many did eat the Cliff's Crazy cake though and said it looked really pretty and delish. It was too. Mmm chocolate chips, pecans, and toasted marshmallows on top!

Recipes for above foods:

Cliff's Crazy Cake
Layered Party Pea Salad

Now for me to move on down the road weight wise. I think I may be at a platue though. Hopefully it won't be too much longer till it breaks. I know it will eventually break, but this is the longest platue I've been on so far. And I haven't got to my half way point yet. But, I knew a platue was inevitable. So I just got to keep on keeping on. And I know I will make it.

I made it through vacation, and actually came home to a loss! I can't believe it! I lost 1.5 pounds! I am very happy with that. Vacation was great. We didn't stick to the original plan we had planned on, but I did pretty much stay on my plan for eating healthy, just not all the menus I made up. So I did good. I also found some great low cal cappucinos, and Chai teas, they are delish, fat free, sugar free and decaf. Fireside is the name of the coffees, and David Rio the name of the Chai's. YUM! Also I found some good soups that are low in cals, when I get them unpacked I will post the names of them too. Loved them. I had them all over Branson at almost all the little tea shops thinking I was cheating, but still trying to count them, then I read the lables and they were great! I also bought this prailene mustard sauce that is awesome, there was a ton of dips I wanted, but I just ended up with a few. I will deffinately be buying more next year. Loved those stores, especially Mulberry Mill, and Sulivans Mill. I will be posting pics soon too. So stay tuned!

Ok got my new pics up. Even though there's no differnce really. It's up any way. :) This will be my last post till we get back in three weeks.

May 27, 2004

Another weigh in. And my last for a few weeks, till we get back from vacation. I will how ever, add a new pic before we leave. I will probably add a new pic on Saturday.

I am hoping and praying I stick to my plan. We are going to a amusement park so it's going to be hard. But, I have planned and planned and planned. So I think I will be able to do this.

Yesterday I found a new Health food store for me. Trader Joe's. We didn't have these in Kansas. I have heard a lot of praises about Trader Joe's but didn't think they would be much different then other health food stores I've been to. I have went to health food stores literally my whole life. Well, I was impressed! I love Trader Joe's. They didn't have EVERY thing I needed, but they had a lot. And I am still amazed that health food in NYC is cheaper then in Kansas. For instance, I only eat Wonder/Better N' Peanut Butter, Peanut butter cause it's only 50 calories a tablespoon, when the lowest calorie low fat PB out at the store is 95 calories a tablespoon, plus it's low sodium. And the flavor is so concentrated you don't need very much at all. Any way in Kansas, I paid 6 dollars for a small jar, at Trader Joe's here in NYC, a big jar was only 2.99! I have found Vitamuffins, Robbin's Nest Cakes, La Tortillas, and Celestial Seasoning teas are all cheaper here then in Kansas too. Yet junk food, like mac and cheese, and hot dogs, are way way more expensive here in NYC. I am talking 10 times the price they are in Kansas. It's so weird how that is upside down, but at least it's to my advantage. Any how loved finding a new store. I also found at my regular Health food store, Your Weigh To Success, they had a new sugar free, carb free, fat free, calorie free Walden Farm's marshmellow cream. I can't wait to make a Fluffer Nutter using it, and the healthy pb. Your Weigh To Success has really started carrying a lot more things, and is looking much better.

So for the trip I got sugar free meriegnue cookies, lemon and Dulce Leche. The lemon are calorie free, the Dulce Leche are only 35 calories for 13 cookies! So I am taking them to eat when we are at the shows. (2 hour variety shows). And I will be getting some Walden Farms Ranch dip-calorie free, fat free, carb free, sugar free, with cucumber chips. For lunches we will mainly have wraps using La Tortillas, and sandwiches using light whole wheat bread. My mom found a bread that is only 40 cals a slice and 7 gms of fiber, I have to find this bread! We'll probably have turkey and cheese La Tortilla wraps, and fluffer nutters, and PB & J's with the bread. Then for dinner, we will have crock pot food every night. My mom has a camper trailer. So we will make the food in the am, and it will be ready for us when we come in from the park. So with this plan I think I will be able to stay on plan.

I hope I can lose some weight while away. But, I will be happy to just maintain while on vacation. Thankfully I've already went on 2 other vacations and made it fine on plan. But, none have been to a amusement park, can you say junk food and temptation! I think I will have to give in and have at least one turkey leg, and some succatash. I also love the calico potatoes (mixed sweet potatoes, with white potatoes and different kinds of potatoes, fried in a huge 6 foot accross cast iron skillet), but I will try to avoid them. lol

Any way time for the weigh in!

I'm another pound lighter, YEAH! I was really hoping to lose another 1.5 pounds this month. But, I am fine with this weight loss. It is a loss, and that's the most important thing, that I am steadily getting lighter and healthier. It's been way worth it. And I love this life style.

Planning our meals for the trip I would have probably had to do any way, because we don't have the money to eat out. I just got to make it healthier cause of my new life style. So the life style in it self did not make vacation harder. Most the time I have no temptations, so I am not expecting to have too many temptations, but Silver Dollar City does have some GREAT food, and probably the only place I will be tempted at all. But, like I said it's only the above three things, and funnel cakes, and grilled corn on the cob that I really really will be tempted on. But, I can have 3 of the 5 things that I crave with out falling off the health wagon, it will just make us fall of the budget wagon. lol I can have the succatash, corn on the cob, and turkey leg. I can have the other two things too, calico potatoes, and funnel cake but I don't want to waste my calories on very little bit of food that I would get for the calories in them.

So I lost a pound, and I am more then happy with that! Although it don't look like I will make my months goal. But, I'm not giving up. I know I will lose faster once we get back from Vacation in June. Cause that's when I can get back to Curves!

May 13, 2004

I stayed the same this week, so still at 193.5. But, I'm not really upset or anything about it. Next week will be better I'm sure! :)

At the beginning of every month I plan on adding new progress pictures to my journal. I took the May picture on the 1st of May. But, just today got to get my pictures on the PC. So the picture up now is my May first picture. I will probably post my June one early since we will be gone. Probably have to do the same with July. For June thankfully it should only be one or two days early though. And same with July.

Here's some pictures from my Health Anniversary on May 8th, that we took. We went out to a nice Sachwan (sp) place, and had a good time. I wish I would have thought of taking the brothers and sisters pics that we ran into while there. Oh well.

My PC is back, but we might of lost every thing on our hard drive. So I can't post pics yet like I wanted, cause well my graphics programs was on the hard drive. So were all our pics and graphics. :( I had only downloaded my graphics program, and it costs 100 dollars to buy on CD. (same to dl) So I will have to wait till I can buy it again, if we can't get the hard drive to work tonight. And that will be a while, since we don't have money right now for all this.

Any way, just wanted to say I am back. And blogger has changed it's interface so this may take me a while to get used to!

So I lost another pound this week! I am very pleased, and surprised! YEAH! That brings the total weight loss up to 58 pounds! Oh yeah, I am getting to close to the 60 pounds off mark it isn't funny! Could be with in 2 weeks!

I would just really like to lose 4 pounds in May. I hope I do. That would bring me down to 190 for our trip.

I hope every one else has as great a weigh in day as me!

April 28, 2004

WOW did a ton today! I hope every one likes it. I just love it!

I asked Chatter Bug, for a copy of the html for the progress chart. And I just love how they came out. Please click on Complete Progress Chart as well. I really like how it came out

Whew really took me a while to dig around for as many weigh ins as I could find. I wish I would have been writing them down in my tangible places each week. I still have more some where, I will dig up later, probably tomorrow. But, I am happy with things right now. I just love it!

One more day till weigh in! Although I am thinking I probably won't lose. It gets slow this part of the month every month. Awe well. We will see, maybe I will be in for a surprise.
I put in a new shout box, so that I don't get the pop up that comes with tag board now. I just wish I could control both the smilies and the back ground color both. LOL It only wants to let me have one or the other!

Soon I will add a comments feature. And today I will probably be adding a chart some time of my progress.

April 27, 2004

The web ring is up and running now. And already have a member. :) I think it will be a good one.

I've been working on a team of mice, that I have named "Wise Mice". I think they are so cute. I will probably put them up for grabs soon for others. I have been trying to think of different messages for them to say, that are motivating to weight loss. I would like to make a little Richard Simmons too. And maybe even a Dr. Phil. lol

Any way I still have a lot I want to do with my blog, like add some goals, and progress report charts. I will be working on that soon. For now I think I do have most if not all my graphics how I want them. Now I just have to work on getting the archives to match. They will come along slowly though. I do wish I would have been writing down my weight loss weekly some where permanent so I could make a chart each week since I started but it's just here and there, and only really kept well weekly since January. But, oh well I still want to make a chart.

Today I made mock fried cat fish. Using Pam in a skillet. It was really really good. This was my first time cooking fish I think. I have cooked crab legs, and shrimp many times. But I have to admit at home the fish is usually from a can or vacuum packed bag already cooked. When I was growing up my uncles used to fish a lot, and my grandma was the one who always cooked it. Then we had a grocery store where if you bought the fish from their fish counter, they would cook it for you. Any way you asked. You could choose up to 3 things they would put on it for you for free, then you could pay extra after that. I always chose Mrs. Dash, butter or lemon juice (depending if I was dieting or not.) and bread crumbs (again depending on if I was dieting or not. lol). They would cook it really fast in a convection oven, and then seal it really nicely in a tin foil box. And you could go home and eat it right away. And since it was free for them to do that, why mess up my kitchen, and learn to cook it in the first place. lol So I just always did that. So I have never cooked fish before. Although I knew from experience you didn't need to cook it for long. So I think it came out real well.

Remember my weigh ins are on Thursdays, so for sure come and check on my blog on those days. :)

I'm still perfecting things. I made a ring surf ring, for sisters with weight loss journals/blogs to join. I hope we can be as successful as blog sisters. But, I can't seem to get the ring to work very well right now. I should have it working today though.

I'm staying on track with every thing else though. And I plan on adding a lot more features to my blog for inspiration to keep on track, and fun things to stay on track.

April 24, 2004

Well, as you can see I'm still working on my blog. And doing lots of updates. Stay tuned for much, much, much more.

Please, if you have any linkies for your weight loss blogs, I would love to add them to my weight loss buddies, linkies.

I'm thinking about making a JW weight loss blog ring. I wonder if there will be much of a response. I will probably wait a few weeks and see.

April 20, 2004

Well, if you haven't noticed I'm working on changing the looks of my blog. It will take a few more weeks. But, it will get there. :) Hope you like it.

Even though I can't exercise yet, cause of my bruised kidney, I went to Curves today to get weighed in and measured. I have lost 21 pounds since I joined at the end of December! So I'm pretty happy about that!

April 19, 2004

I think I should start by stating my newest weight. I really need to keep that updated in here.

195.5

So that's 56.5 pounds gone gone gone!

I'm still going. I don't know exactly what all I want to add to my journal. But, I know I want to change some things around and update it a bit. I will be working on that soon. For one thing I will definitely be adding some pictures.

I finally did get my Mastercook at Sam's club it was only 15 dollars. And I think I will really like it, once I get time to use it. I can't wait to get started.

Any way keep checking up in here, and you will see some updates soon, hopefully!

April 11, 2004

Well, I actually remembered to come back today.

I went to Office Max, and they didn't have any Mastercooks, I also went to circuit City. I ended up just buying a 10 dollar program called custom Cook Book, don't get it! I can't get it to show up in the program list, plus it does nothing that the box leads you to believe it does. Like it said you could take this health quiz and it would plan out a meal plan and exercise plan especially for you. Well, that was such a lie! The health quiz is very very vague. Couldn't be customized at all! And then after you take it it doesn't give you a meal plan or exercise plan customized. It only says, exercise 3 times a week for 30 minutes. Uh I knew that! Oh and the customized meal plan, eat meat, veggies, fruit and whole grains. Hmmmmmm, so customized, there! That was all it said, not how much, not what kind.... nothing. I was expecting it to say something like Breakfast-apple, 1 cup cherrios, lunch ham sandwich, etc. Exercise, bike ride 30 minutes on Tuesday. ect. There was nothing like that at all! Any way, I will still look for Mastercook! lol Just a heads up on that other program though, it's all lies. lol hahaha

I will probably go to Best Buy tomorrow though and look for Mastercook. And I also need to go grocery shopping for some cheese. BTW, I love Lite Laughing Cow cheese, it's great, and I get to have one a day and not even count it cause it's only 35 calories! MMMMM I like to have a triangle with my dates or pear. Yum yum. Also I bought some little squares of laughing cow that is only 10 cals a square, sometimes I will just have one square on one reduced fat Ritz cracker and that's pretty good too! I also love Skinny Cow ice cream, my newest two favorites are Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, and Strawberry Cheesecake. MMMMMMM MM MMM. lol They also have a bit of fiber, not as much as weight watchers ice creams, but there is a bit in there. So that's a added benefit.

I'm starting to get excited about going to Silver Dollar City next month. I will be back later though and say more about it. Bye for now.
